Movement of The Week – Prone Hip Ext

Getting the hip joint into extension is SUCH a challenge for so many people.

Reason? Well we pretty much all sit for our work, this puts our hips into flexion for 8-10 hours per day, then we sit in cars, trains and buses and finally we sit on the sofa when we get home.

Unless you actively engage the hips into extension through exercise we can end up with poor function in the glutes and tight hips.
